The F-35 Lightning II is a next-generation strike fighter due to join the Air Force in the next decade. Designed to outperform any current fighter available today, this aircraft will incorporate many advances including stealth technology to help minimise its radar signature, and thus delaying the warning of its approach. Other technologies and design concepts that will be implemented into the aircraft, include a full LCD display cockpit, concealed weapon bays for stealth and a large percentage of parts sharing between different models to keep production costs low.
An exciting opportunity exists to collect, analyse and distribute strategic information on board large aircraft.
