Direct Entry Submariners

The Royal Australian Navy is currently recruiting Direct Entry Submariners (DESMs). Traditionally, the Submarine Service was only open to volunteers from within the Navy Fleet.

Experienced sailors and officers could apply to transfer to the Submarine Service after they had completed their employment training and served an additional 12 months. If you are looking for a rewarding challenge, and the camaraderie of being part of this special force element, then check out the positions on offer. Employment is open to both male and females.

IT WAS A CHALLENGE, I WANTED TO DO THE HARDEST THING I COULD AND I’M PROUD OF BEING A SUBMARINER.
