Currently in his third year as a sponsored undergraduate student, Rian is pursuing an engineering degree at James Cook University
in Townsville. Fuelled by a passion to work on
Navy hardware such as the new Landing Helicopter Docks and Helicopters, Rian’s chosen to specialise in the field of Electrical Engineering. Upon graduation this will allow him to apply his skills in ways he can only imagine.

At university, Rian spends his days juggling
a mixture of classes, lectures and tutorials.

When he’s not hitting the books hard, he’s working out at the local gym.

Bella is a driven graduate medical student from The University of Queensland. She has a strong desire to live and work in different locations, while at the same time gaining unique medical experiences.

Upon completion of her degree, the sponsorship will provide her with a placement for her internship and residency years. As a Medical Officer in the Army, Bella will be able to put her skills to use in new ways and in various environments, in Australia and overseas.

When she’s not at university, Bella can be found either volunteering for Camp Quality or running a Body Attack session (she’s a qualified instructor!).

Lisa is a third year dental student from The University of Western Australia. The sponsorship has helped her focus on her studies and, as Lisa puts it, "feel part of, a wider Australian community."

Mad about touch rugby and general fitness, Lisa spends her spare time keeping fit as well as catching up with friends. Study wise, she enjoys the numerous hours spent at the university's Preclinical Operative clinic, as she's able to put to practice what she learns from her books and lectures.

Lisa looks forward to working as an Air Force Dental Officer, a career she believes will allow her to meet new people, live in different locations and give something back to the community.
